who Are We

At the I DO Foundation, we run the I DO Project — a consultancy programme that connects ambitious bachelor students from the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) with purpose-driven NGOs around the world.

Over the course of an academic year, teams of 5 business administration students work side by side with a single NGO to co-create tailored solutions that strengthen its mission and impact. Along the way, students gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills that prepare them for their future careers.

Our partner NGOs take on a wide range of global challenges — from empowering disabled children in Sri Lanka, to providing clean water and energy in Zimbabwe, and opening education opportunities for orphans in Guinea.

Our Vision

“We envision a world where every purpose-driven NGO has access to the skills and energy of the next generation, and every student has the opportunity to apply their education to meaningful, real-world problems.”

— Mustafa Rehan, President of the Student Board 2024-2026

What makes Us Different?

The I DO Project is uniquely run as a cooperation between RSM and the I DO Foundation, and is fully student-led. This structure creates a win-win for both students and NGOs:

  • For students: Your feedback shapes the course, you gain hands-on experience and receive academic coaching, helping you to navigate complex NGO challenges.

  • For NGOs: Work with motivated, capable student teams who bring fresh perspectives and are supported to deliver actionable, sustainable solutions.

All of this aligns with RSM’s mission to drive positive change, giving students the chance to learn and NGOs the support to make an impact.

“We started organizing this idea of ‘let’s help in real-time organizations NGOs’ and the rest is history.”
